This version has been rewritten from the ground up and is not based on the MediaPortal 1 source code. It utilizes advanced technologies to allow you to experience the best possible HTPC experience.

With this powerful multimedia app you will be able to listen to all your favorite music, radio shows, and webstreams as well as watch TV, DVDs, videos. You can easily schedule recordings, so you will never miss a show. All your movies will be stored in MediaPortal's video database. It offers support for multiple tuners along with an advanced TV Guide based on XMLTV.

MediaPortal 2 additionally includes a versatile plug-in system that will allow additional modules depending on what you are looking to achieve. There is also a skin system so you can spruce up MedaPortal's look.
